How to improve communication skills?

The effectiveness of communication in English language depends on a balanced combination of diverse set of factors. Our corporate language trainers and subject matter experts provide the training on such factors. We include following topics in our course content based on the need and level of learner.

Content Building:

Most of the people can write the content in English but can’t speak. Sometimes they use fillers such as “umm”, “You know”, “Like”, “Aann” etc. and they feel themselves unable to speak either fluently or for a longer time.

The process to respond anyone is to listen, thing and speak. A Remarkable rate of thought generation is required for fluent delivery.

This Skill is the “BRAHMASTRA” to boost your public speaking and rid out the hesitation, stammering, and filler issues.

There are 4 kind of speakers. First teachers, can speak about 5 min on the topic, second lecturers can speak about an hour on same topic, third professors can speak on entire day about the topic, and fourth are philosophers, who speaks on the same topic entire their life tirelessly. Content building skill make you to think like philosophers.

Word articulation:

In the second step it is important to frame the contents in order, within the sentence and within the paragraph. Order of content delivery and word articulation is essential to make the listener to be connected to you entire your conversation. The failure to apply this approach could lead to either boring speech or miscommunication.

Contractions:

It’s an emphatic tool to boost your fluency. By using contractions you not only get the chance to speak more words in the given span of time but also seems to be a native English speaker.

Example I will not do this = I won’t do this.

Pitch Management:

The pitch is body language of your speech. It is essential for proper communication and to express your emotions in words. For example the word “I Love You” can be spoken in numerous pitches, and its impact on partner’s heart can be different in each pitch.

Intonation:

There is vital role of intonation in communication. It expresses your intentions and feelings which make your conversation alive and successful.

Intonations are used to make your speech emphatic and to show your focus on the parts of speech. Without intonations it’s difficult to express our thoughts to the listener.

For example “I am your Friend”, here if you emphasize “Your” it means “You are important” (I am your friend, not other’s, so I am expecting the things from you, not others). If you emphasize “friend”, it means I am your friend, not enemy, you can share the things with me.

Vibration:

Vibration in voice glorifies your speech. Few speakers seems to be native and great public speakers such as news anchors, few actors, commentators etc. vibrations make you speech extraordinary and commendable.

Sound linkage:

When you speak, you need to move lips, tongue and teeth together. Unique combination of breath, lips, teeth, tongue and mouth movement is required to generate a perfect the sound. A poor combination of such elements leads to an entrapped speech due to locking the sound.  The sound linkage skill is helpful to pronounce the sentence without locking with the words, and you seems to be a native English speaker. For Example “He is my brother” = Heez my Brother (the Sound E and I linked together)

Pause Management:

Pauses during speech are mandatory for better understanding of sentences. Over lengthy pauses, or short pauses leads to poor communication. Punctuation classes help to overcome it.

Phonetics:

It’s important to understand universal law of pronunciation, that’s Phonetics. Most of us never learned it in our school level education. There are 44 sounds in English, 20 vowel sounds and 24 consonant sounds. Use of correct sound makes our pronunciation perfect and worldwide acceptable.

Syllable & Word stress:

It’s part of sound system and intonations. You learn loudness and duration to pronounce the words. It helps to glorify English pronunciation. Using this skill anyone can become native English speaker.

Collocations:

Colocations convert your ordinary speech to extraordinary speech. For example if you say “He is a big leader” or “He is a powerful leader”, second seems more communicative with respect to quality of the speech. Again its challenge to use correct colocation such as good, Big, vast, heave, haze, bulky, or others.
